MAGNUM SLIDE ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 22 Mag. S# 330835. Bbl. 24". Model 61 slide action rifle mfg. by Winchester in 1961. Left side of the bbl. is marked with the Winchester trademark logo, followed by the model and cal. designations. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bolt, which is polished in-the-white. Grooved wood forearm and plain wood pistol grip buttstock with checkered black synthetic Winchester buttplate. Dovetailed aluminum beaded blade front sight and elevation adj. U-notch rear sight. Top of the receiver is grooved for a scope mount attachment. Matching numbers are present on the upper and lower assemblies. CONDITION: fine, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory blue finish overall, exhibiting few light superficial handling marks. Brilliant mirror bore, retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Wood furniture shows a few light superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains excellent overall. A fine example of a late production Model 61. (26-1770/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,100.
